What if I don’t have any bone for dental implants?
This can happen to any patient, in which case we augment the specific spot with some bone (add bone to the area) before placement of the dental implant.
Who can have this surgery?
As we’ll discuss in our initial consultation to ensure that you are qualified, but most patients for all ages are, including; patients with diabetes, mental disease, elderly patients, or patients who have lost many teeth can have a dental implant treatment.
How long do dental implants last?
In theory dental implants should last a lifetime, however, we all can sight examples where teeth have not served for a person’s lifetime due to improper care.
Can I have dental implants if I smoke?
We strongly urge patients to quit smoking before undergoing any dental implant procedure.
Smokers are at higher risk for dental implant failure. Any would thereby advise them to stop before and after the treatment to get the desired effect of long lasting dental implants.
